Hello students of Preble High School!

Virtual learning is a whole different learning environment which can be very difficult to adapt to, that is why we must remember to take breaks from whatever it is that is making our shoulders tense up or our heads hurt. It is okay to disconnect for a while and take the time for yourself to relax, because self-care is productive. You are a priority, period. It is not selfish to take care of yourself. Here is a list of steps you can take to prioritize self-care habits:

  1. Drink Water- staying hydrated is crucial in improving mood!
  2. Saying “no” – it is okay to excuse yourself from events in order to not overwhelm yourself
  3. Rest well – c’mon you deserve a little nap!
  4. Eat well – treat yourself to a well rounded meal in order to maintain a healthy mind & happy stomach
  5. Check in – contact a friend, talk to a pet, consult a trusted person and simply rant – let it all out 🙂
  6. Have fun!- play your favorite video game, watch a movie, go outside, whatever makes you content
