Fear of Public Speaking

“Imagine everyone in their underwear; that will get you to stop being nervous!”
“Take some speech classes; that might help!”

If I’m being any honest, I don’t think any of those help me, even if it’s just for something small like answering a question in class. It still makes me nervous. It’s not just because how awkward it can feel, but I think about how and where I’m supposed to look, at the same time knowing that everybody is staring at me. It feels intimidating. Once I get up there, I feel that I’m going to forget all the things people told me to do to keep me calm.
